{ Friday Finds } BUNTING BANNER

Friday, September 9, 2011

Sabrina!

A big thanks to everyone who participated {especially our ahh-mazing sponsor Paisley Baby}.

Check your email SABRINA and all you non-winners do come back later today for yet another Etsy gift-away! Just call me September Santa - I even have the belly - ho, ho, ho!

...

Baby K's nook is slooooowly coming along; I have a bunch of unfinished projects requiring my attention like a baby bunting banner {which has become sort of a nursery staple these days}. For this week's {Friday Finds}, I turned to Etsy for some banner inspiration...

If you've been following my blog this summer, you're no stranger to fellow Canadian Kristen and her Toronto Etsy shop Knotted Nest. I featured her banners during my {Friday Finds} WALL CANDY as Saige has one of her fun fabric flags hanging sweetly in her bedroom.

A bunting banner hair accessory, seriously? In the history of Saige, a hair band has never stayed put for longer than 2 minutes, but if our little tomboy wasn't so anti-headband, I'd seriously consider this $22 cutie {shipping included} from Giddy Up & Grow. ** all Halloween items are 20% off!

Why hello there cutest card ever. Kid & Caboodle from Vancouver sells noteworthy notecaards to note-givers for just $15/set {6 cards + 6 envelopes}. What a clever way to use up all your quilting scraps Carolyn! Almost as clever as your shop name - sure did own a kit & caboodle back in the 80's.

I'm truly.madly.deeply. in love {got any Savage Garden fans out there?} with these 'tiny flag banners' featured in Amanda's bigDAY Etsy shop {Dartmouth, Nova Scotia}. She made her first one for her nephew waaaay back when and now sells them for $13/meter {shipping included}... yes please.

Cake toppers, growth charts, nursery decor... it's bunting banner heaven over at Modern Baby Trends. When it comes to modern/unique/handmade/heirloom baby gifts, this Victoria Etsian steals the show and your next baby shower. I highly recommend you make it a "favourite" and I highly encourage my friends to get knocked up just so I can gift you with one of her treasures.

Any time I need to see your face
I just close my eyes and I am taken
to a place where the crystal mind and
majenta feeling taken shelter in the base
of my spine sweet like a chica cherry cola*

P.S. - I tried my very first cherry coke this past weekend... can you say ridiculously delish?! It's probably a good thing they don't sell cherry crack cola in Canada.

Happy Friday Everyone!
Today the midwife comes to OUR home for a visit... fingers crossed the Santa belly is measuring average or better.
