motherhood & guest posts.

Tuesday, May 15, 2012

If you're a mom you're gonna to want to check out this week's guest posts over on e, myself and I {and not just because I'm over there}.

I worry sometimes that my posts on parenting read more like a grumpy old man's letter to the editor. I worry that I come across as ungrateful and unfulfilled. Believe me when I say that couldn't be farther from the truth... I love LOVE motherhood.

My pregnancies were no mistake, I wanted them - prayed for them - and for as long as I live {unless I get Alzheimer's} I'll never forget the appearance of those two faint lines. Like the Grinch, my heart grew 3 sizes that day... my baby names finally had babies.

Saige & Gabriel
Make no mistake, I love being a mom... their mom. Their birth stories have become my love story and I am forever changed by their perfection and presence in my life.

I think I just assume that all the mommas out there feel the same way; no need to to reiterate the obvious, but in case it's not so obvious...

I'm head over heels
truly, madly, deeply
won't be coming up for air anytime soon
IN LOVE
with motherhood, with Saige and with baby Gabe.

During some parenting moments, things can feel so very hard and stressful. Sometimes when you read back on those moments, and you are no longer feeling that same intensity of emotions, your past outlook can seem negative.
But, when you are brave enough share those honest moments and thoughts on Motherhood, when you are in the thick of them, and really feeling them, you aren't being grumpy, just real and relate-able. That's why I love your blog.

I totally understand where you are coming from! Parenting is a mixed bag. I love it, there are moments I hate. I wouldn't give up any of it!

I have never thought you sounded anything else but REAL and I love it and it inspires me. There is nothing like parenting but to think that its a nice sunny walk in the park all the time would be ridiculous.. Keep being Real and you!

i loved your guest post. I always love reading other people's perspective on motherhood, probably b/c it's such a universal topic and yet it's so different for every single person. Being a mother is amazing, it's hard but amazing. Ya take the good with the bad :-) Eventhough the good most definitely outweighs anything else!

My little girl's name is "sage" as well...sometimes I wish I would have added in the "i" but my sister's name is Paige so I thought it would be a little too similar. :-) Anyways, I'm loving your blog and am your newest reader :-)
