I'm beyond annoyed with Bloggers' inability to format right now, so let's just dive right in shall we {before I flip my lid}...

- I buy a lot Saige's clothes from the boys section. What can I say, I'm not into hearts & butterflies and since Gabe - and our bank account - will benefit from gender neutral hand-me-downs, I'm all about camel rain jackets and camo hats for little girls.
- Saige is adamant she's a boy and I'm wondering if worried that me shopping in 'no pink zones' has gotten her a wee bit confused? I don't know if I should care or quickly explain the difference between male & female anatomy? I'm just as confused as she is.

- I went to the library today looking for books on how to be a better parent. Clearly I'm doing something wrong as my child spends more time in timeouts than I do on my iPhone.

- Sad that this book title caught the immediate attention of my library card.

- And this one too... poor Trev.

- It horrifies me that I'm spending my precious child-free hours reading books on child rearing.

- I try really hard to engage in talks/blog posts that don't revolve around k
ids, Dexter or poop, but inevitably the conversation always finds its way back to the BIG 3

- Speaking of poop, there's something to be said for solid number twos. Now that Gabriel's on the road to recovery, I miss those diaper changes that didn't require a handful of wipes and a desensitized gag reflex. Let's just say the stuff he's producing now is not for the faint of heart.

Haha. Love this. My niece went through her "I'm a boy" phase for about a year. After a sit-down talk with her parents, she then agreed she was a girl. Too bad the next day started a "call me Scooby now" phase. Whatevs. Kids are kids. Let em be. :)

Personally, I think Saige's outfits are ADORABLE and a HUGE improvement over the pink-and-princess glitter-vomit most girls are wearing. OK- what's the next 'obsessions' topic, so that I can start mentally planning my post??! I really want to join in this time!

Hey, at least you're trying to be a better parent, by reading parenting books. I haven't read a parenting book since I was pregnant. I rely solely on parenting-related articles that find their way into my FB and Twitter feeds.

Don't fret about buying Saige's clothes from the boys department. I love a lot of boy clothes and my girls wear them all the time, too. In fact, when we went to the farmers market yesterday, I intentionally put the girls in frilly, girly hats, rather than their baseball hats. The rest of their outfits were from the Target boys department and I didn't want to have to correct people when they told me how cute my sons were.

A lightbulb just went off in my head. JOSIE CAN WEAR BOY CLOTHES AND TOTALLY PULL IT OFF. You are brilliant.

hehehe I buy J's clothes in the girls' section because I love pink and red! hahaha its awesome, we're like opposites but like minded :D LOVE!

I've been making an effort to read non parenting books too, so far I am liking the Steve Jobs autobiography :D its about as far from parenting as you can get

I think I could benefit from that parenting book. Not gonna lie...relieved to hear that my kid isn't the only one spending half of her waking hours in timeout.

I'm pretty sure Saige will be just fine. My friends 3 year old just had a 20 minute tantrum meltdown because she wanted a penis. That was fun :)

pinky promise?

that's SO weird cause Saige just started asking if I know much about Scooby Doo (which I don't) - I wonder if this is a developmental stage... I'm a girl, I'm scooby, I'm a slammer of doors.

don't we all.
(tantrum that is)

I love the little "boy" outfits on girls. You're girl looks like a proper tomboy =) in a good way.

Thanks for linking up and have a fabulous weekend!
