forever unpacking.

I came home from my whirlwind Vancouver trip {more on that later} to this, a fully framed basement with the beginnings of a main floor!

And this my friends is your all access {and very embarrassing} pass to our new underground hideout - let's call it my first off-camera vlog shall we...

My time spent at IDS West & the IKEA sponsored BLEND2012 event can be summed up in 2 words: "inspiration overload". It's a good thing our kitchen isn't on the renovation list otherwise this Kelly Deck design would've taken up all the space in my suitcase.

I definitely felt like a little lifestyle fish in a sea of big-time design bloggettes, but it's a weekend I won't soon forget. I mean it's not every Saturday night that you become insta-BFF's with Tommy Smythe and Just Bella.

Haha! I love how you casually added the "or locking the kids in" into your video. Of course! We all need one of THOSE rooms! ;)

Oh sooooo jealous. Jealous of all the fun inspiration.

And even more jealous that they got to hang with YOU and I didn't.

Bitches.

what's funny is I went to IDS West too, had no idea you were going there! That kitchen was awesome (except for the hood vent, I didn't like the brass colour)

my parents made a mini-'play room' for the grand kids under the stairs and it's surprisingly a perfect little play place... however there's doesn't have a lock on the outside ;)

just wait when you and I make make our instagrammy debut together - it'll happen.

like every human being on the planet, I hate listening to my voice on camera... I should have created a script or something I mean who says "holy doodle"?

I'm going to try to unearth our paint can collection to find out it's name {I'm 99.9% sure it's from General Paint}. Those garden doors aren't staying, want em?

seriously?! the brass/gold hood and faucet were my favourite features! second only to those tree trunk tables.
